Description
A creamy, caramel-sweet iced coffee made in just 5 minutes. This shaken espresso uses oat milk and brown sugar for a rich, frothy texture that rivals café drinks.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 shots espresso (about 2 ounces / 60ml)
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 3/4 cup oat milk (barista-style)
- 1 cup ice cubes
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
- Pinch of cinnamon for dusting (optional)
Instructions
- Brew two shots of espresso using a Moka pot, French press, or strong drip coffee maker. Ensure the coffee is hot.
- While the espresso is still hot, add the brown sugar directly into the cup or pot. Stir vigorously until the sugar is completely dissolved. Add vanilla extract if using.
- Pour the hot, sweetened espresso into a shaker or mason jar. Add the oat milk.
- Secure the lid tightly and shake vigorously for 20-30 seconds to aerate the mixture and create foam.
- Fill a glass with ice cubes.
- Pour the shaken espresso-oat milk mixture over the ice.
- Dust with cinnamon if desired and serve immediately.
Notes
Use hot coffee to dissolve the brown sugar completely to avoid grittiness. Barista-style oat milk is recommended for better frothing. If using cold brew, dissolve sugar in a little hot water first to make a syrup. Drink immediately for best texture.
