Frozen Strawberry Margarita: 3-Ingredient Easy Drink

  • Author: Karina
  • Total Time: 5 minutes
  • Yield: 1 serving 1x

Description

A quick, 5-minute frozen strawberry margarita made with just three main ingredients: frozen strawberries, tequila, and fresh lime juice. Perfect for busy weeknights when you need a refreshing, slushy cocktail without the hassle.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ cups (225g) frozen strawberries
  • 3 ounces (90ml) 100% agave blanco tequila
  • 2 tablespoons (30ml) fresh lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon (15ml) simple syrup or agave nectar
  • Sea salt (for rimming the glass, optional)
  • Lime wedges (for garnish, optional)
  • Extra frozen strawberries (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. Prep the fruit: Take frozen strawberries out of the freezer and let them sit for 2 minutes to soften slightly so they blend easier.
  2. Rim the glass (optional): Run a lime wedge around the rim of a glass and dip it into sea salt. Set aside.
  3. Blend the base: Add frozen strawberries, tequila, fresh lime juice, and simple syrup (if using) to a blender. Blend on low to break up fruit, then increase to high and blend for 30-60 seconds until smooth and slushy.
  4. Taste and adjust: Taste the mixture. Add more syrup if too tart, more lime if too sweet, or a splash of water if too thick.
  5. Pour and garnish: Pour the frozen mixture into the prepared glass. Garnish with a lime wedge and a frozen strawberry on the rim. Serve immediately.

Notes

Do not use fresh strawberries with ice as it wateres down the drink. Use frozen fruit for the best thick, slushy texture. If your blender struggles, add a tablespoon of water or extra lime juice. This recipe can be scaled up for parties by multiplying ingredients and blending in batches.
