Description
Portable, protein-packed breakfast bites with a custardy center and crispy, golden edges, made quickly in an air fryer without stovetop mess.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 large eggs
- 4–6 strips thick-cut bacon, cooked and crumbled
- ½ cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 2 tablespoons heavy cream or whole milk
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Non-stick cooking spray or oil for greasing molds
Instructions
- Cook bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crisp. Drain on paper towels, let cool, and chop into small bite-sized pieces.
- Lightly grease silicone egg bite molds with non-stick spray or oil.
- In a medium bowl, whisk eggs, cream (or milk), garlic powder, salt, and pepper until uniform and slightly frothy.
- Divide egg mixture evenly among molds, filling about ¾ full.
- Sprinkle crumbled bacon and shredded cheese into each mold, pressing down slightly to submerge.
- Place molds in the air fryer basket without stacking. Cook at 330°F (165°C) for 12-15 minutes.
- Remove from air fryer and let sit in molds for 2 minutes to firm up.
- Flex molds to release egg bites and serve warm.
Notes
Ensure bacon is drained well to prevent sogginess. Do not overfill molds to allow for expansion. Cook at 330°F to maintain custardy texture; higher heat may cause rubberiness. Let rest for 2 minutes before removing from molds.
